Using AutismPro Resource Manager
Consultant and Teacher: Harriet and Mia's Story
Harriet assists teachers across her district that work with children with autism. She has been helping Mia, a classroom teacher, who has a child with autism in her class. After preparing an IEP together, Mia has been using AutismPro Resource Manager to access resources to help her supplement and carry out the IEP.
Mia selects from over 300 AutismPro learning objectives that align with her IEP and the district's curriculum. Once the objectives are selected, Mia quickly picks from over 3500 Activity Plans to use with her student.
She also reviews the Strategies for Teaching, which help her understand how to teach students with autism based on her teaching method preference (behavioral, developmental, or social).
Her student, John, repeatedly bites other children. Mia quickly finds Strategies and related Accommodations which she uses as practical guidance to help her deal with John's problem behavior.
Together, Harriet and Mia track John's progress. They also enter notes in the Journal. With this information, she and John's team can generate Reports for reviews and report cards.
Harriet often views the progress being made to ensure that Mia has the support she needs.
