Using AutismPro Workshops
AutismPro Workshops is designed to be used by teachers, teaching assistants, special educators and staff working in early intervention clinics.
A Teacher: Sandra's Story
Sandra is a classroom teacher who has been assigned a child with autism in her Grade 1 class of 30 students. She has no formal autism training.
After class, Sandra signs into AutismPro Workshops. Because it is delivered over the internet, Sandra is able to use AutismPro Workshops anywhere and at any time. She is able to complete her training on-site, off-site or on professional development days.
Sandra progresses through the different workshops on autism, methods, implementing IEPs and using strategies to prevent problem behaviors.
Each Workshop is delivered as a 'slideshow' and allows for easy navigation through the materials.
Sandra completes a Knowledge Check to test her knowledge and comprehension of the material.
Once Sandra is finished, she will receive a certificate of completion and her results will be recorded in a central report for her administrator.
With this training, Sandra is better able to integrate children with autism in her classroom and improve student outcomes.
