Recognizing a Child's Strengths
By Cynthia Howroyd M.Sc., SLP ( c ), President & Founder, AutismPro
Tom is a three-year-old with autism. When I arrived at his
home one day, he greeted me and said, "Hi G3245U!" which he knew to
be my license plate number. Inside, I saw that his parents had covered the
clocks on the stereo and microwave with masking tape. A wall clock had been

Autism in the News Did you know studies continue to show an increase in cases
of autism in the United
States? It is estimated that 1 in 91
American children aged 3-17 have an autism spectrum disorder, reports a new
study by the journal Pediatrics. This
is a significant increase from previous numbers, which suggested a prevalence
of 1 in 150.
For more on this story, see the Autism Society of America's report.

Focus on a Feature: AutismPro Workshops Certificate If
you're a user of AutismPro Workshops, sooner or later you will want to
see a summary of your progress. Fortunately, there is an easy way to do
this.
At the top of the Workshops home screen, you will see
a link called "Certificate" on the dashboard panel. By clicking the
"Certificate" link, you can get a printable certificate (in PDF format)
listing the courses you've completed and the associated number of course hours for each. However, keep in mind that the
certificate only shows courses once all included workshops have been completed. Partially completed courses are not shown.
